I was wondering when those would show up!

John Marshall gets the award for calling it first. On our very first date (Britta and I, NOT John and I), our Freshman year at BYU, John said, "Your kids are going to have the most curly hair!" It was awkward at the time, but we can't count the number of times we've heard it since; it seemed as though we heard it every time we went out from someone new (and even complete strangers, for some reason, had an interest in the potential hair of our potential children).

Anyhow, I have to say that I've been very excited for Grace's hair to grow in to see how cute and curly it will be. However, both Britta and I figured that she would have straight-wavy hair first and that it would curl up after puberty (which is what happened to the both of us). There is still a lot of hair to come, and I'm sure a lot of changes, too, so we're still waiting to see.

At least the good part is BOTH of you will know how to take care of her Curly hair and let it grow LOOONG and stay curly. :) My mom didn't have the first clue on how to do my hair..lead for some very upsetting pre-teen years. :)

Amy, I totally understand about that! I had frizz hair until I discovered gel during my Junior year in high school. I'm excited to play with baby curls!

I feel your pain Amy! I had fro-hair too until high school. You just cannot brush through curly hair once it's dry!! And product, product, product.

You're grandma was the one who told James and I at Thanksgiving (when we had just started dating) that we would have kids with really curly hair. It's a memory I smile at the thought of.
