Less than a week...

Is anyone as excited for this as me? It's Harry Potter month! Scott and I went to the midnight showing of Order of Phoenix last week and it was a visual feast. I think I need to see it again to fully appreciate it...

Mike and I are definitely pumped! I'm reading the 6th book for a bit of a refresh. I liked the movie Order of the Phoenix but Mike felt differently. If he had it his way he would have a 4.5 hr movie with nothing left out! Hopefully amazon will deliver our book on time! Eek!

i don't particularly share your enthusiasm. i did like the other movies but i could care less either way.

Megan, I'm reading the 6th one again, too! I also just finished the re-reading of the 5th one. I guess I can be a little obsessive...

Alisha, have you read any of the books? The movies are practically useless if you haven't read the books. But I read a review by someone who hadn't read any of the books saying that the 5th movie is their favorite and the most cohesive.

Well, I too can't say I loove Harry Potter. I wanted to, I really did, but it's just not my thing. I read the first book and I could hardly finish it. The movies... I wouldn't see them if Brett didn't want to ;) I guess we can't ALL like the same things!

I am so glad that you are excited! I liked the movies but I don't read so the book does nothing for me...I'll probably end up seeing this new movie on DVD, just like the rest of them. Even though Jon is taking Sam on the Fathers and Sons Campout...I wish I read books but I just can't do it. I don't have the patience. I'm currently in process of "reading" at least 5 books that I can think of right now. Never have finished any of them. The 1st movie and the 4th movie are my favorites because there is no "scary" stuff, i.e. giant snakes or nasty werewolf. If you've never read the books you don't know what you are missing.

everytime i click over to this blog, i get excited again. I am so happy to be part of this excitement. Sometimes i wish that i hadn't read any of the books, so i could reread them all for the first time. but i love the anticipation for each book. i actually read the first harry potter book to jeff in the car on our honeymoon...

p.s. the movies are NOTHING compared to the books!

Nettie...we're living it up! Eliza and I were FINALLY persuaded to start reading them, and we're loving them! No waiting for the next book. I've just started #2, and Eliza's finishing #3...lol. I wish I had more time to read...

Only a few chapters into it, I caught the Harry bug! You can't help but LOVE him when you see the greatness in him, being brought up by that Aunt and Uncle! Okay...so who knows what's to come, but it's exciting!

Now we need to have another post for all those who have finished the book and want to discuss it!
