Independence Day

For the 4th Britta and I took our neighbor's daughter to see the hot air balloon dawn patrol for the Freedom Festival. We really enjoyed the early morning excitement and massive balloons as they were inflated, airborne, and competed in several "games". These games included a target toss and balloon jousting. Here are some of our favorite pictures.

I miss the Freedom festival! Good memories. There is also something about hot air balloons (kind of cartoony but almost from a different world)

How amazing! Those are beautiful pictures, too. I don't think I've seen a hot air balloon in years.

I've always wanted to go see the hot air balloons, but we never seem to make it up that early. They're amazing!(btw those small hooks in the broom closet said they were for mops, brooms, etc.)
