Scrapin' Gal

After working for over 9 months at a company that designs things for scrapbookers, I decided I should try my hand at scrapbooking. These are literally the first four attempts I have made at serious scrapbooking. I have so many ideas now to do so much more! I'm excited. I'm also a little crazy cause I don't have much time to add another hobby to my to do list...

p.s. Thank you to Nettie and Sarah for letting me use your blogs as a resource for my scrapbooking!

cute! I love them!

do you do it digitally or the old fashioned scissors way.

digitally. It's WAY faster and costs way less, especially since I already have the adobe suite to work with.

You're very good! I'm impressed. BTW I just found another blog and the couples names are Scott and Britta. Random.

Very impressive, Britta. I'm afraid most people's 'pasted together' scrapbooks will simply not hold up over time. The many tiny pieces will likely fall off. While the skill level required is much higher, digital pages can be reproduced and and with modern inks should last longer than any lifetime. Bravo!

Is it Adobe Photoshop? It's on sale at Costco (or will be?) so that's why I'm asking. I would love to do digital scrapbooking. The other kind drives me crazy. I am much too much of a perfectionist. I've made one scrapbook page in my life and I think it took me 4 hours! (and even then I wasn't happy with it). It also costs a lot less to do it digitally. I like the idea of dragging something into the picture and then just deleting it when I don't like it, instead of wasting money choosing the wrong thing and having to use it anyway. (Does that even make sense???) Your pages are beautiful. I wish I had your talent.

I did use adobe photoshop, mainly. It's a great tool for digital scrapbooking. If you end up getting it and want any tips, I'd be happy to get you started, Karen. If you've never used it before, it can be a little overwhemling.

Thank you, Britta. I've heard it's overwhelming so have never purchased it! I think we may have even had it once (a very old, old, old version that came with a computer) and that's why I'm aware of it's ability to mystify me! Also, when I looked at your blog again this morning I was so inspired by the fact that you just used blogs for ideas of what to scrapbook. That was half my battle... WHAT do I put on THIS page??? So thank you! Great idea.
