Funerals are sad

I sang at a funeral yesterday. After the funeral a lady from church in relatively good health came up to me and said, "I want you to sing at my funeral."

I think I smiled and said, "oh" because anything else seemed inappropriate...

"Oh, I'd love to."
"I'd be happy to do that"
"I hope it's not too soon"
"Just let me know, I'll schedule it on my calendar"

What would you say?

I think I'd say "Thank you. I guess it will just depend on which of us departs first!" or something upbeat. Awkward, but part of life. I'll never have to worry about someone saying that to me... ;)

"I'll take that as a compliment" or "It would be an honor" Most of the time I'm a jumble of words when I'm put in a situation like that. I always think of the right thing to say hours later but never on the spot.

You glare at her ominously and say in a dark voice
"That can be arranged..."
then walk off.

haha- Stephen's comment was funny. I would say "Oh- that is kind of you. Thank you." That does make for an awkward moment!
